(Mankato, MN) – While it’s been filled with road construction, overwhelming rains, and sweat-inducing heat and humidity, it’s still a sad fact that summer is already on its way out.
Meteorological summer is now half over and we’ve also peaked on our average high/low temperatures. They’ll start slowly trending cooler as of Wednesday, July 18th.
The first half of the summer of 2018 was the 6th hottest on record, based on readings in the Twin Cities.
As far as the coming fall and winter, the outlook right now shows increasing odds of El Nino development, which typically means better chances of above normal temperatures and precipitation.
