WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Police say a man is in critical condition after an officer-involved shooting Saturday night in Northeast D.C.
D.C. police say the shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 800 block of H Street, NE after officers responded to a domestic situation for the second time of the day. After arriving, they confronted an adult male armed with a handgun.
The officers then ended up firing their weapons at the man who was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, according to police.
When officers arrived for the second time, police say they were looking for a suspect who had returned to a home.
Police say they recovered a firearm at the scene.
Details were not immediately made available on the domestic situation.
