Bismarck – Some North Dakota kids are going head to head in a challenge to find whose robot will come out on top.
The First Tech Robotic Challenge brings some fierce competition.
Sixteen teams from across the region are competing with their very own robots.
The teams build, program, and then operate their bots in a series of challenges.
The teams compete to see whose robot can complete tasks like stacking blocks and creating patterns all under a time limit all in the hopes of sparking a passion for science and technology in these students.
“I love to do stuff with my hands, so this class just seemed to appeal to me because I get to build things and it seemed just kind of perfect,” Brice Rosco, Alexander High School, sophomore says.
The top three teams to compete in the challenge will now move on to the Super-Regional Competition.
