Did the promise include his shoulder pads?
After three terrific seasons at USC, JuJu Smith-Schuster decided to declare early for the NFL draft, on one condition. He promised his mother he’d one day return to school and get his degree.
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Smith-Schuster in the second round in April. He finished his rookie season with 58 receptions for 917 yards and seven touchdowns, leading all rookie receivers in yards and TDs.
And, on Thursday, there was Smith-Schuster in class.
Apparently wearing his Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and shoulder pads.
Told my mom last year that I’d go back to school since I left USC early. I went back to college today. pic.twitter.com/yHnbwnsELH
